just to update any queries about old convictions:

the reason i learnt was because my wife (would-have-been-sponsor) left me, and 2 weeks later CBSA arrived at my door, on info from a tip-off........

Both of mine were in my mid-late 20's!!

i wouldn't give the guy i was back then the time of day on the street now!

thats there own guide so if i was given that link earlier, who knows what...

i had the certified bank draft but i can redeem it myself back into my account.

i am in 2 minds really - no way i can afford to go to UK for an interview....

for anybody in my postion:

- 2 convictions, sentence(s) were fines (1999, fraud & 2000 DUI) and a 1yr driving ban, I was BACK driving 10 years last April.

i was thinking of going down to a POE to reinstate my status rather than waiting all the months to get it before sending off my PR/rehab applications.
- i messed up my initial extension of stay...

did it include the endorsement? or when the fine was paid? My court documents show "fine of x, with 4weeks default,
my charges were of fraud 99 and dui 00,with 1yr ban. all done the second,...

It is also why i have to apply Inland, because however...

I was going to, but didnt want to risk being told to stay out, and be stuck between USA and Canada with no money and an Ireland passport!

From what i hear, HomeLand security only have access to RCMP data base, it only show up warrents outstanding

both my fines were just a couple of hundred dollars, i would rather not have to get that proof as they are so slow in Ireland getting that sort of info

It would show up on my police clearance cert if there was outstanding fines due

Didn't know that DUI was classed as criminal in Canada, and i wasn't asked entering did i have priors

I have a fraud charge from 99 (fine), and a DUI from 00 (fine & 1yr ban) would that deem me rehabilitated or will i proceed with my application?

Police Clearance Cert

ust got my recent police clearance cert picked up for my in Ireland. (I'm Irish)

It omits a DUI charge from 2000, which was a fine and a 1 yr ban, which means that i was back driving 10years ago...

Is that because at the time of the offence he was 18?
I have 2 convictions: (Both in Ireland)
I have a fraud conviction from 99 ($260 fine)
and from April 2000, a 1 yr driving ban

Yes, its all about Canadian law, and in particular for immigration, it still needs to be considered
