Totally agree! I am amazed at the bickering, bitching and finger pointing on this forum. I have been labelled a racist and a sexist by a complete stranger, and judged as worse and provoked by others....

yes, but dont let it put you off too much,I believe the Canadian government is starting a scheme to help get overseas qualifications recognized.

Quite true but Imagine how long it would take to learn all of the Canadian plumbing code which varies significantly from the UK regs so still very frustrating in fact I have changed careers because...

I found that although my qualifications were recognized by immigration for my skilled worker visa, once I arrived in Canada they were not (plumber) very frustrating!

I'm not justifying my move because I went back to the UK with the intention of staying, My post simply highlights my experiences and thoughts after being away for two years. I will never HATE the UK...

probably nothing, I am a uk qualified plumber and engineer and although my qualifications were physically reviewed by immigration to get me to Canada i found once I arrived they are not recognized...

I am in construction I simply used search engines like monster.ca to look for jobs in my field in Canada. I did a good covering letter and good cv and sent it to every job I could find all of which...
