Really?
We were told it was a three year contract full stop!
At the time it was the only option we had as no one else covered our area.

Just think $450 is a bit steep.

My daughter recently received a Open Work Permit. However, as her Passport was expiring in May 2011, this was the date that the Work Permit ran to.

I was lead to believe that it was only a spouse that could apply for an Open Work permit. This solves so many problems for us and i am so grateful for your advice.

Oh thanks for that.
She could have gone to school when we first came out here but as she had left school in the UK a year before and had been working, she didnt want to go back to school in Canada....

I suppose it is a case of getting used to how different it is in Canada.
I think she assumed it would be like the UK where everyone is fighting to getting in the pub at the weekend.
