Update: Went to Government Window today and waited 2 hours for a 2 min appointment. Had my photo and prints taken, and the lady said I'd have a card sent in the post. Also got a secret squirrel pin...

Last year we received our post-Brexit address and residency cards. I've now received a letter saying I have to apply for a permanent ID card.

So, just a quick update to let you know we received our cards today - so all in all it took about a month. I might add that I also had to go back as they didn't get my photo/prints right the first...

Yes, we were told to just enter WA but once we were at the appointment we were asked to write a few lines. We had issues uploading all the documentation too - but the key is to take it all with you...

We completed our online forms on Enter Hungary, which without the Embassy Guide, would have been near impossible. So I would definitely recommend having...

Yes - I think there is an age waiver as long as you have lived here for 8 years. The language 'interview' puts most people off but I understand there are courses/books that can help you prepare.

I think that if you have been resident in Hungary for 8 years and are over 60 or maybe 65 then the language test is waived.
