i didnt overstay i applied for an extenstion an was refused so i left also i did have to attend an interview in august in Trinidad... yes i am back there now

i asked this exact question twice... with no answer... my case is also on hold... all checks an medicals completed... but i suppose the visa officer is waiting for these rules to come into effect to ...

Can anyone say if visa officers are now assessing 2001 under the old laws or new 67 points?

well first of all most of us on this board having been waiting for nearly two years,,, now i have seen passport request being sent to 2001 applicants and this is with interview waviers applicants......

hi if your choice is independent apply asap... before the 67 points rush begins... or u will have to sit an wait for 2 yrs, not being able to work or go see a doctor in canada... u can apply to...

u got this thing all wrong... once your application is "in process" and awaiting a decision... even if u finish your medicals and even interview... but the visa officer did not give a...

Transitional cases are those who applied before jan1/2002...
an the propose laws are "what was pass on sept 18/03" whereby transitional cases are to be assess under either old laws or the new ones...

Doctor sends your medicals... they will either tell you if additional test is needed...if everything is ok... an all...

If someone falls short of a point or two especially 2001 applicants to meet the 70 points... or even the 75 ... Can Interviewing officers overlook this if they find they applicant "very suitable" for...
