Applied for 137 visa December 2003 (Front loaded nurse). Had problems with application but recieved email grant letter last night.

First entry 6th January.

Still waiting - still hoping :-(

My STNI is 6 months soon since DIMIA got the application.

What happens if it goes outside processing guidelines? Is there an incentive for them to...

I flew to Washington with BA last month. Had the Economy plus seats - Slightly wider and bigger pitch. Not sure how much extra it cost but I slept on a night flight which is a first.

Hi Irene,

With the priority that is given to nurses your application should be delt with in less than 6 months. The medicals and police checks are valid for a year so it would seem a good idea....

There were probs with the application that have slowed things down - all my fault. Hope to hear soon though - waiting still stinks regardless of whos fault it is.

My timeline is metter, but I don't think my application has been too straight forward.....Most nurses are 2-6 months.

I have no plans not to stay and from what I hear my family and I should love it. Just nice to know IF we hate it or other reasons crop up which cause us to move we won't get hounded out of Australia....

Don't know what an ODP is. All nurses are in demand as far as I know. The main thing they will go by is the ANCI code when your wife's skills are assessed.
