Basically, you provide the number you would like to phone (i.e. I'm in the US, and want to phone my UK bf.. so I type in his number via 01144... and so on)
Then, they give...

Re: Should I Bother applying for B2?

Just checking that list, and I wanted to see if I was clear in thinking that if a UKC comes to the US on the VWP for 90 days, they could then travel to, let's say, Jamaica, and then return back to...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Definitely lots to think about! I'll climb that tower when the time comes... which would indicate a small wedding in the US I suppose! :D
Though, again, we're not to that point yet... no filing has...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Thanks, I will keep that in mind if we go ahead with the K-1 visa. I think maybe it wouldn't hurt to continue using the VWP for a while longer before beginning the application process for the K-1,...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

I guess my concern with the k-1 is the no traveling for a few months after being granted. My sister is having a destination wedding in Jamaica in February 2011 so we will definitely need to travel to...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, I do not qualify for the DCF process as I have not recently lived in London for 6 months. Sounds like our wait time will be a little longer. Glad it all...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

So because I am the USC, I will first file for the I-130 for my UKC spouse. (Thus, I am the petitioner)

Unfortunately, I am no longer living in London. (I did previously on and off from...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

So it seems the downfalls of the K-1 are more paperwork, ends up being more expensive in the end, and the UKC is not allowed to work or travel outside of the US right away. Upside: It's a little...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Just so I'm clear (since I haven't been throughout this thread.. forgive me!), were you referring to the CR-1(UKC outside the US) when you said arriving to the US as a PR or the K-1? (I'm assuming...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Ahhh thank you so much! However, I am now completely overwhelmed, as it seems like a huge long process! Almost seems like it would be better if we could get married in the UK and apply for the CR-1...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Well, you laid it out for me perfectly.

And yes, 5 years, it's time to decide I suppose.

So with that being said, I guess really I need to research the K-1 visa?

Would it be more difficult...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

Ah, well that's exactly what I don't want... to sound fishy.

We've been together for 4.5 years, he wants to move to the US, but we just aren't ready for marriage. I don't really want to get...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

I was just thinking of evidence to support him as I had read that on a website that it would be useful. I'm not sure they would actually do that. I know he's been at his job for a long time, and...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

So what would you suggest? That he comes over here in August for 90 days, and we get married during that time just in order for him to stay?

We want to live together in California first, so that...

Re: B2 to K-! Visa possibilities... HELP! PLEASE!

I just read them after I posted this.... I don't want to lie! I understand I cannot change a B2 to a K-1...!

But if he had a B2 and left back to the UK to apply for a K-1... would that work?

My UK bf is thinking about...
