Thumbs up Where to get a mortgage without too much hassel!

We are in the U.K. and have begun the process of buying a house in Limoux, however we now need a mortgage. Has anybody got any experience of getting a French mortgage without too much of a 'fuss'?

Hello, we want to buy new beds, sofas, chairs, dining tables etc. etc. in France (near Limoux).
Could anyone recommend some good furniture showrooms or advice please?

Hello, thanks for the tips and replies. Went with HiFX all went okay.... except the exchange rate was 1.148 and today is 1.187 so feel a bit miffed we could have got a few more Euros on the...

We went in to Credit Agricole with our passports, utility bill and marriage certificate. We received excellent service from them and our current account and savings account was opened within hours....

Hi, What is required to get Sky services in France?
When we stayed at a B&B in Languedoc-Roussillon we were able to view Sky as if we were in the UK.
The house we're buying in Limoux has a Sky dish...

Didn't know what "spot rate" meant, but that's good that at least I can fix the rate.

We sign our Compromis de Vente this Tuesday (25 May 2010)
I have to have the Notaire fees transferred to put in to escrow.
So need to transfer GBP...
