Re: Help - Structural engineer, getting married, and maybe emmigrating??

I'm guessing he's referring more to the whole tax-dodging suggestion... There's a definite grey area over which country you should be paying tax in, but not paying it at all is slightly more black...

Re: Help - Structural engineer, getting married, and maybe emmigrating??

It's like he hears his name....

Alternative plan - buy it from a Canadian company and get it shipped to her address, tell her to bring it with her without opening it, and then all the taxes will...

Hi David,

I am also a structural engineer, now living in Alberta, married to a Canadian girl! Welcome to the forum.

Re: Looking for advice in cold contact for engineering jobs in Canada

Get contacts (current job) or get lucky (previous/first job). If you go down the recruitment/HR route, really sell yourself in the cover letter and resume to show that you meet the job requirements...

Mailed mine on June 7th, the website updated to say they had received it on June 20th, and as of today it says it has been dispatched.

Don't see what all the fuss is about really... ;)

Re: Residing in Canada while awaiting spouse visa approval

Re: Moving to Red Deer, Alberta??
