I guess I just figured amounts over 10k attract questions or delays. If they provide a legal way to batch payments less than 10k, which they do, then why not do that and avoid the hassle.

I have some money to transfer from UK from a sale of a UK house to use for a deposit in Canada.
As I understand it the transfer limits are $10,000 per 24hrs. Is that correct?

No one checks it when abroad it is only checked on landing, at least that's my experience even if it's not meant to be that way :)

Id it's multiple entry, how long must you leave for to then return for another 2 years?
eg 2 years, leave for 2 days, return for 2...

But they don't get medical assistance in that case do they as they are not resident? Or rather...they get the assistance but have to pay for it same as if someone comes over for a week on holiday and...

By the way, why does the government ask for a medical on what is basically an extended temporary visa? The parent/grandarent is not immigrating or using public healthcare facilities on this visa?

So, it`s multiple entry for 2 years each time within 10 years.
How long must you leave for before you can re-enter Canada and stay an additional 2 years?
eg stay 2, leave 6 months, re-enter stay...

presumably with a permanent visa they can spend as much time in Canada as necessary and then go back to UK as long as they don't leave for more than 6 months, they would get medical care in the UK...

Problem is I don't think my parent(s) would want to move over even if there was only one of them in need in the future.
They might consider coming over for 2 years on a supervisa but at the point...
