Re: Purchasing a house

Oh wow, that's really good to know! My understanding was we'd have to pay at least 6-12 months upfront.

Re: Purchasing a house

My daughter would be commuting to the High School in Notts so it may be a bit of a stretch! But we will explore all options...my mission is to find us a place. Thanks so much!

Re: Purchasing a house

Hi, we are looking into the Nottinghamshire region ~ a semi rural location would be perfect. The first question I'm asking with resales is if there's a chain as I don't want to get involved in a...

Re: UK Housing Market

Do you mind me asking where in North Notts ? We are looking at Notts and surrounding areas but want to be no more than 20 mins from city centre.

Re: UK Housing Market

Good points. I think we'll be hard pressed to find something for 200k from what I'm seeing though. Although the price tags of 400 seem to be over inflated in some cases. Rents are high at around 1100...

Re: UK Housing Market

Thank you!! This is helpful. And if we do wait in the hope the prices will reduce, we will spend the difference in renting for 6 months!

Much appreciate your insights :)

Re: Accomodation requirements for application

Thanks! That's interesting; I was not aware that the application form suggests those accommodation provisions. We are working our way through it. Good luck and thanks again

Re: Accomodation requirements for application

Thank you. I'm concerned about the duration and hoping that one month will suffice as the cost of a months' AirBNB for our needs are around 3500GBP per month. Yikes!
