I found out this because I got mine the other day, the hospital goes online, fills in a form, and then they get the number instantly. you may need to get somebody to poke the HR...

I applied yesterday, had medicals yesterday, and the progress report still says awaiting medicals, bloods, xray film, xray report, ... I watched them upload the xray infront of me!

I'm sure I've read on a Queensland health website that your employer can get a nomination number in about 3 days if they submit everything online (which they do).:):)
