Don't like to hijack OPs thread, but yeah, Greystones is a wonderful place. Great for families, easy commute, good shops and services, and best of all friendly. Now if they'd just fix that damn...

Re: EU Law & British Law & My Rant !!!!

Re: EU Law & British Law & My Rant !!!!

I fell afoul of this several years ago, but later used it to my advantage. I am British by birth but grew up in Canada and became a naturalized Canadian citizen.

Re: Questioning At The Canada/US Border...

Re: DO YOU HAVE TO SPEAK FLUENT FRENCH, TO LIVE AND WORK IN MONTREAL ???

Re: Marrying a Green Card Holder. Are visits to U.S possible after marriage?

I'll use my story as a warning as to how this can work against you.

Re: Property buying - advertised v sold price

If you are renting then...

Re: Property buying - advertised v sold price

another good site is www.propertypin.ie although it mainly talks about how the bubble has burst.

Re: MAYBE moving to Ireland!!

We moved to Ireland two years ago for a job and absolutely love it. But, picking the right town is absolutely crucial. Yob culture thrives here too, but it just seems to be far worse in certain...

Re: UK Expat moving to Ireland - swapping a foreign licence?!

Hmmm, wouldn't you have to have residency (not just citizenship) in the UK in order to get that license swapped from the NZ one?

I found my US license worth nothing in Ireland and had to take the...

Re: Moving to Eire under citizenship/ dual nationality

Yep, in the above case they would be eligible to apply after 3 years (5 years if not married to an Irish citizen, but the processing of applications currently takes 2.5 to 3 years. Dreadful I know.
