Thanks! Think I understand now - at first I thought they just didn't charge you if your rental income was less than 4percent of building value, but you have to choose to claim the cca on the building...

Wait, I see what you're saying- claim cca on building to offset your tax.

Cra will then add this onto the capital gain when you sell so it makes sense if you plan to sell when your tax rate is...

I prefer Whytecliff park, smaller than lighthouse park but some spectacular views of Howe Sound within a few steps of the car park.

The big difference between UK and Canada on taxes is EVERYONE has to do a tax return each year in canada, whereas for most peoples taxes are done...

Just to clarify before I do an epic fail move - it's only a 30km/h zone if the sign says 30km/h under it isn't it?

Because there are loads of school zone signs and playground signs around there...

Yeah I thought 2 days was pretty quick too! but I just went on the online booking and it seems if you're flexible about which test centre and with a bit of luck on the timing you can get tests at...
