Re: Pet Peeves peculiar to living in the USofA

Nothing is perfect, I suppose. :)

My wife just had a total thyroidectomy (sp?). Our cost? $0.00 (aside from our insurance). I'd rather it be this way, than be paying $7.00 per gallon of fuel. ...

If so, answer this question. Would you rather your kids ride in the back seat of a car that has a smoker driving it, or a drinker drivng it. Be honest now.

Re: Proud to be an American

Yes, when someone gets behind the wheel of a car and wipes out an entire family. Unless I failed my biology class, dying in a car wreck at 22 years old is still just as dead as dying at 89 years old...

Re: Proud to be an American

The whole PC movement was started by liberals. Look, I'm very liberal on a lot of issues, so I'm not a Bush supporting wacko who blames liberals for everything. The conservatives have their fair...

Re: Pet Peeves peculiar to living in the USofA

True. Children don't get to pick and choose, but anyone old enough to be having a conversation on in immigration website are able to make a free choice.

If something is blatently wrong (slavery...

Re: Proud to be an American

Members of the PC Brigade. AKA "Liberals". They want you to feel guilty for atrocities that were committed by people you may or may not have any relationship to, that happened over 5 generations...

Re: Proud to be an American

Agreed. I'll fly my "Stars & Stripes", and my British wife will fly her Union Jack, and anyone who cares to say otherwise are welcome to grow a pair and tell me to my face to take them down.

Re: Pet Peeves peculiar to living in the USofA

Irrelevant. If I move to France, should I complain that people speak French, or should I learn French? If I move to England, should I complain about the late night currys and lack of Taco Bell fast...

Re: Flight 93 - The movie

It's my understanding that the producers got permission from every last member of the surviving families. So, at this point, our opinions are irrelevant. The ones who MATTER, have said it's not...

Re: Pet Peeves peculiar to living in the USofA

My biggest pet peeve with living in the USofA is when people come here for whatever reason, and then try and make the USA the same as the place they just left. It defies all logic.

It would be...

Re: Why Immigrants Won't Assimilate

Why Immigrants won't assimilate?

Simple. They are too lazy.

Those who do, are more than welcome. Those who don't, should go back to wherever it is they came from.

Re: Proud to be an American

Congrats, but I'd be careful if I were you. Being proud to be an American is now considered "racist" by the Illegal Alien PC Brigade.

Re: From another forum

I don't believe it. From what I've seen, all you have to do is cross the border, drop a baby, and the U.S. government begins a love affair with you.

I guess the key is to NOT get married, and NOT...
