Flight 93 - The movie
I'm sure many of you have already seen the trailer for this it's been around for a few months.
This article questions whether it's too soon for this movie to be released:

Personally I think it's too soon, I certainly won't want to see it.
I was wondering what everyone else thought?

Well, it was almost half a decade ago, and the film makers apparently approached all families of the victims on board to ask this very question. On a side note, I don't remember hearing of any anger from people when a film was made depicting 9/11 from the viewpoint of the terrorists (I forget the title).

Didn't the discovery channel already show a docu-drama based on this or is this something new ??
The discovery channel one was actually very well done.

This may seem a little off-topic, but I was watching Ghostbusters for the first time since its release and seeing terrified New Yorkers escaping the Stay-Puft boy... and fire and sparks coming out of a high rise.... only to be saved by Bill Murray et al....
I wish that were the worst "tragedy" they had had to face.

I don't know if its too soon or not but I don't understand why anyone would want to see it really. Its not like people don't know how immense the tragedy was or how horrific an impact it had on the entire country emotionally and politically.
It wouldn't be 'entertaining' , I doubt it'll tell you anything you don't know already, so I can't see the point in it unless you get off on watching people realise they don't have very long to live.

It's my understanding that the producers got permission from every last member of the surviving families. So, at this point, our opinions are irrelevant. The ones who MATTER, have said it's not "too soon", and are supporting the film.
