hi there mitzyboy. wow!!!! that is exactly the information i was looking for, and it is quite a shock!! [a good one tho] everything is way cheaper than we pay here in england... even the electricity...

thankyou eeryone for your replies... they have helped.... my husband and i are now booked to go t alicante for a short visit in october, so we can visit areas and schools... we can't wait... again...

hi there, sorry about that.... i was thinking bout electricity... gas, is there such a thing as council tax? internet? untility bills more than anything else really

not sure why alicante.... alicante isn't really definite either... we just read a few different forums and it does seem to be one of the most popular choices for people wanting to leave sunny old...
