I was there for one Christmas and drove down the PCH to hang out on a beach or two for something different to do. It was a lovely sunny day, almost 70F if I recall correctly.

I hate the phrase - "How long is a piece of string?". It's the length from one end to the other.

Also the Embassy's are run by the Department of State so some knowledge of visas is to be expected...
