OK - I think I've "sort of" got it clear - no NHS on a visit (which makes perfect sense) but if I were to move back, assuming I had been back for 12 months and was intending to stay - as a permanent...

I have been very happy with my letting agents - they vet tenants very thoroughly and I have never had any issues with repairs/maintenance being carried out promptly and at a reasonable cost. Perhaps...

The rental income is just below my UK personal allowance and therefore incurs no UK tax liability (I file UK taxes every year) but is also declared on our joint US return.

I kept my UK property and have rented it out very successfully for the last 5 years - I use a property management company and they have been excellent.

No mortgage on it so the income just accrues...

OP - if and when you do try to fly to the US perhaps you should arrange to fly via Shannon in Ireland - I believe that passengers have to clear US immigration at the airport so if you are denied...
