thanks PPM, thats whats I eventually figured out.

I also found on another forum an application for a TWP that was sent to Pretoria in Feb this year and he got his TWP 10 weeks later, so hopefully...

I see there is a form to appoint a representative. It makes no references as to where the representative is based. Could I not appoint someone in Canada as my representative and have them apply there...

No, Im not a UK citizen, ok so scratch that idea.

Can a citizen of any country apply at a POE?

If the processing time is 8 - 10 weeks in the UK, could I fly to London, fly home and then go back to fetch it?

Is there any reason this cant happen?

I read this on the wiki article "Provide a police clearance certificate (but police clearance certificates are not usually required of work...

According to the CIC website, the processing time here at home is 4 months for a TWP, but its only 45 days if applied for within Canada.

Can my new employer apply for the TWP on my behalf in...

Section E of the EOI, where they asked you about your skilled employment, most of the question seem to be orientated around having gained this skilled employment in NZ.
