Spouse visa and RRV

Hi everyone
My spouse PR visa ran out in July 2014. I have spent extended periods in Oz since it was granted in 2009, but less than two years overall. I work in the UK and jobs in my field are...

Re: Freo and Crime in Perth

There are some cheap shops in Freo, but also some places selling really nice stuff (at not very cheap prices). It depends what you are looking for, and what you want to pay. The harbour area is nice,...

Re: Does any one know where I can book cheap flights to Monkey Mia

Yes, I didn't know there was an airport either; just shows how long it is since we went there (2001?). We drove from Perth, which is something in itself, and then stayed at the Monkey Mia resort in a...

Re: Singapore Airlines or Emirates - who should we fly with?

SA are great, but now fly less from Manchester (our departure point) than they used to. By the time we were able to book, no convenient seats were left either from Manchester or going via London and...

Re: Perth ???

Hi MerleOberon
Perth will be what you make it, not what others tell you about it. We don't fish, own a boat or a 4WD, but we don't feel out of place. Nor do we have school-age kids. Perth is no...

This is Perth... You Tube video

To add to the debate on Perth (in a completely tongue-in-cheek way), here's a video found recently on You Tube. Enjoy!

Re: Question about passport renewal now we have visa

I had exactly the same issue with my UK passport. Advice from CO was that they only needed a valid UK passport for the Oz visa, and that the visa is NOT tied to any particular passport number. I...

Re: A family (IN PERTH) in mourning for a lost teddy desperately seeking help!

I really hope you find Pink Ted. Maybe he's decided to stay in Oz and not return to the UK??

Spouse visa (subclass 100): granted

Just heard today that my permanent resident spouse visa (subclass 100) has been granted, 11 weeks and 2 days after I first heard from the case officer. I am a UK citizen married 5 years+ to an...

Spouse visa: is there a backlog?

Hello everyone
My medicals (graded B) for my spouse visa were cleared on 26 May, and my CO said he would be in touch with a view to finalising my application. Since when I have heard nothing. I'm a...

Re: Health Operations Centre -Update

Hi,
The panel doctor has to send the original medicals to your CO or straight to Sydney, depending on the type of visa you are applying for, but they are permitted to send you a copy of the...

Re: Health Operations Centre -Update

Hi
If it helps, here is where I am... I suspect it may depend on which visa you are applying for. I have applied for a spouse PR visa, and my meds (graded B by the panel doctor) were sent to HOC on...

Re: spouse visa-help!

Like TheresaM, we sent off a spouse visa application (middle of April), and (self and Australian OH) live in the UK; we filled it in in respect of our UK property and income; we haven't had our...

Re: Is it a good idea to email Case Officer directly?

I agree with the others here: if you haven't been sent the contact details of your CO by the CO themselves, and have acquired them only by dint of a CC in an e-mail, then I'd advise using the PLE....

Re: Is it a good idea to email Case Officer directly?

I too have my case officer's e-mail address, and his direct telephone number. He didn't seem to mind when I e-mailed him and also took the time to ring me to respond to my query. I think if they have...

Re: Renewable spouse visa/citizenship for wife?

Hi Cam
I am following the same pathway as you: Aussie spouse, just applied for PR myself, although we plan to continue moving between the UK and Oz for the time being. Have you got any further with...
