I moved back to the UK in March 2013. I was based in the US for 4 years on an L2 visa. I know I need to file a returns this years but I'm not sure what double taxation exemptions I'm eligible for.

Dependents children are eligible for L2 visas up to the age of 21. Mainy1129 mentioned her children would start degree and diploma program so they may be approaching the age limit.

L1-B gives you 5 year (3 initial and then 2). You company can apply for a GC on your behalf. A few things to consider.

Get an agreement in writing from your company that they will apply for a GC...
