Finally got a reply today from CHC London. They said they are doing routine background checks on our application and will informus if they require anything. So there we are, hoping all turns out well...

thanks Amy, i tried cutting pasting it as well. but it comes back as delivery failure. maybe they dont accept direct emails anymore, only through the webform.

I was sending the emails through the CIC website to London office. Do you think I should just send them a direct email on the address that you have provided? I sent them emails weeks ago but no reply...

oh and i forgot to mention that we have sent about 3 case specific emails but have not recieved any reply. so that kind of makes us even more anxious.

Its been 2 months now since our RPRF bank draft was cashed, our bank confirmed June 16th. As yet, no news on passport requests. i am worried it might get too late as our medicals expire in December....

Yes i will hold my passport while i am in uae. Funnily enough if you live in uae and are applying for federal skill worker class immigration then you have to send it to the canadian embassy in london.
