I PM'D you with info that I fell under, yes my Mother wasn't married to my Father at the time of my birth that is right, that is why I said I took the citizenship of my Mother, because my parents...

The wife fly's, when she is with me we drive to the states, I like to drive rather than fly myself............:) (Just a preference is all)

But it is looking like Alberta is one of the provinces...

I think if Alberta doesn't have this enhanced drivers license (If not already have them) I will stick with the Canadian passport till they do, no need to rock the boat to much so to speak.

Canadian (Five years verses 10 for the British/American)one is $87 but without photo's and other stuff just the renewal of it.

Has anyone heard if Canada is going to Ten years for there passport???

But if one travels primarily to the U S and if you have to go while the passport(s) British (Mine) or American (Wife) is being renewed you can drive down on your Canadian citizenship card right??

It is still cheaper than running with both isn't it??
(I wish I had seen this before I renewed or even got my first Canadian passport)

I thought just like the PR application you had a copy of everything you sent in well, you don't (Yes some copy it but it isn't needed)...

I at the present time run both passports British/Canadian and it is a hell of a cost.

If we could/can use the British with the Canadian citizenship card it would make perfect sense, only...

So they told you even though you have a valid passport (British) and a Canadian citizenship card (Proof of being a Canadian) that you still had to get a Canadian passport?

Was it the Canadian side...

So the Wife would still have to any way as she is from the States, being from a non-Commonwealth country.

The wife and I payed our two hundred dollars and it isn't so much the money (Lord knows it cost enough for her PR status) as being dicked about if they had done it like yours was handled all in one...

Yes I have something to hide, two passports and if that was the case I wouldn't have one, you get excited about the ceremony and if I don't care to it is up to me, not you.

I didn't have to go that route as my Mother was a Canadian and I did it all through paper work, maybe if I did I would be more understanding I guess.

Well right know I have both passports, (English/Canadian) at a big cost I might add, I really need only one, when all a passport is, is a document to show where you are Citizen of, not so much where...
