Re: NHS treatment in the UK whilst living in France

Myself, I registered with a GP years ago in the UK. Not for any reason of defrauding the system, but because I am in the UK quite a lot and wanted a surgery to go to should the need arise.

Any...

You asked if you were entitled to free NHS treatment in the UK.

In my opinion the answer is no, but as you've worked in the medical profession for years, I guess...

I haven't read the Mail today, and am not sure why you are rolling your eyes at my suggestion.

I was only trying to be helpful, and save you what may turn out to be a large bill in the...

Re: NHS treatment in the UK whilst living in France

I agree with Mikelincs. The NHS is very hot on this at the moment, and every patient attending will be asked if they have lived outside the UK during the past 12 months.

Surely, as you live in...

Re: Window cleaning

I'm with most of the posters on this thread. We've lived in the Loire Valley for 6 years and have never seen a window cleaner.

I'm also an AE, and dmu is correct. You can't claim back mileage or...

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone knew the French translation of "a wild goose chase" or "a fool's errand" or something of that nature.

Re: Help please :) Moving with a chronic condition?

I agree with Loy Loy. I have been an autoentrepreneur for almost 18 months, but the work has dried up. I don't qualify for any financial help. Just had a letter from the Pole Emploi this morning. Bon...
