Re: Passport Delays

If I submitted two of my kids' passport applications in the same envelope to Washington DC, will the renewed passports be returned in the same package or sent out separately?

Re: What foods can I NOT get in Canada?

I couldn't get sage and onion stuffing, so had a friend post me some from the UK for Christmas. If you cook most from scratch, you won't miss much.

I will say this though: after a lot of research...

Re: Tried and failed!

Have you thought of joining your local church? Our local (Victory) church has been amazing in terms of support and giving us a sense of belonging. It's been the next best thing to having a family...

Re: How much will a 20ft container hold?

We had a 4 bedroom house (very little from the garage). PSS did our 20ft container and there was room to spare, they were very efficient with the packing. Sounds like you'll be ok looking at your...

Re: Motorcycle licence Alberta

Mmmm, fair point.

Having said that, most people who have an interest in riding wouldn't pass the initial test and then languish as a car driver. They would be out there riding and improving.

Re: Motorcycle licence Alberta

Most riders will have learned their limitations, have a better respect for other road users and have their defensive riding habits better established. I'm not disputing that more accidents occur with...

It's not a crazy idea, but IMO they don't because, as a proportion of new license holders, a great deal more bikers are injured or killed than car drivers.

Re: Motorcycle licence Alberta

You can't 'train' the average 18yr old's gung ho/I'm-indestructable/watch-me-on-my-fast=Jap-bike attitude. You have to hope they'll be sensible.

Re: Motorcycle licence Alberta

The cc limit in the UK is sensible. Having ridden a motorbike for 15 years, I have seen a lot of damage caused by boys with new licenses who get onto bikes bigger than they can handle. And the damage...

Canadian Dollar purchase

We are about to leave for Canada but have to buy some more dollars. Is it cheaper to buy them here or will we get a better rate by buying them there with sterling or a debit or credit card?
