Back in the UK for Christmas

Well finally moving back to the UK after a LONG 6 years in the US.
It has had its ups and downs but I wouldn't change it, no regrets.
Least I can look back and say I did it rather than looking back...

Going to Derby, been in North Carolina for 6 years, this last week is killing me getting so frustrated with the process. We are getting there one step at a time but each step has about 5 other steps...

Going to get some trailer steps, like the kind you would use to get into a singlewide and load it that way. Should be way safer than a ramp anyway.

Same here, every shipping company I've talked to said the ramps don't come with it and you have to get one.
It may come with one but I'd rather be safe than sorry especially with that charge for...

Good luck with the move you'll need it. Only advice I can give you is prepare, prepare, prepare.
If there is only you then it won't be bad, if you have a wife, kids, animals lots of stuff it is...

Going through the same thing, they told me as long as you have an address to ship it to (I'm using my parents for now) then it is ok you can change it en route.

I will be back in the UK permanently on the 16th after 6 years in the US (feels like a lifetime).
Glad I got my dual citizenship and it has been an experience I wouldn't take back...

Got my selective service number back I've been registered since 8/31/04 just after age 25 .......PHEW.:cool:
I can go ahead and apply for citizenship now no worries. PHEW AGAIN.

I went to the DMV office to question if they kept my record on file of where I said yes for my SS registration and they said they do not.

they said they would not have issued my...

Yes I told the DMV officer yes when she asked me about selective service registration but like I said I have not been registered. I wonder if the DMV office would have my application on file...

I don't know if I'm eligible for citizenship I think I read somewhere that it was another year before I could apply but I'll gladly do it if I'm eligible

They sent me the money orders back with a letter to the company stating that they hadn't been cashed so hopefully it shouldn't be too much trouble.......hopefully lol
