Thats what an Gomatilda told us, and it was the person who worked at DIAC. John. But that was 2 years ago things could have changed. Are you thinking this could be his only way to a visa.:)

Thanks Pollyanna but we know he must meet the criteria, but theres different criteria for differing visas. We don't want favouritism just good advice. Disappointingly this is not been the case here...

Thanks Dorothy but as I stated he has'nt got the 5-6 years work experience needed for a positive skill assessment. At least not yet, and this would involve thousands and a longggg wait.:)

Yes he can do the RSMS regional, but would'nt he then be restricted to 2 years with an employer and to a region??:)

The DIAC immigration site has all the info you need just google DIAC. You can apply for a permanent visa any time but you need a skill assessment first. Although I think if your onshore...
