I don't mind informing them but I am just concerned about them complicating the matter and possibly withholding my visa till they decide on the outcome.

No I didnt. Do you actually do that? I have visited Australia few times before so maybe they taught for my case I have got enough knowledge. I was not aware of them carrying out these calls.

I am on CSL 175 category and have been allocated a CO but havent heard from him since. Its almost 1 month since i sumitted the documents he requested.

I am in same situation as you. I was given 70 days and my 70 days expires tomorrow. I emailed them the documents about 3 weeks back. I have yet to hear from them.
