Dependent visa.
Hi
I am planning to validate my 175 visa later this year. However I am planning to marry in the near future. Do I need to inform DIAC regarding my plans to marry before I step into Australia? How do I go about applying for dependent visa for my wife to be?
Many thanks

Your wife will need a Spouse Visa.

Re: Dependent visa.
You need to ensure your 175 does not include the clause "Must not marry before first entry".

Thanks for reply. My 175 does not not include the clause 'Must not marry before first entry' It does state that I need to let them know of any change of circumstances. However if I let them know of my intention of marriage even before validating my visa, I am bit concerned that they might complicate the matter by treating it as fresh application or not letting me enter the country till the outcome is decided.
Do I have to inform DIAC at all?
Have you been in my situation?
Cheers

I don't mind informing them but I am just concerned about them complicating the matter and possibly withholding my visa till they decide on the outcome.

Re: Dependent visa.
If you don't tell them be prepared for a lot of compicated questions when yo apply for your wife's spouse visa, as they are then likely to ask why you didn't inform them.

Unlikely. However it would be likely to cause you grief if you didn't tell them until you applied for the spouse visa.
