Re: E2 Treaty Investor visa / buying biz / travelling US - UK

Hi Cat,

Re: Route to Green Card from an E2 investor treaty visa

Of course, there's no such thing as a national interest visa, but it would be a good name for the E2, since it benefits the economy and Americans, but not the investor and his family.

At the...

Re: % shareholding for new business visa

You are highly unlikely to qualify for E2 visa with a 20% holding. You would need to increase that significantly.

Re: Support E2 reform

I don't know a single E2 investor who came here "on the cheap". Most invested a considerable amount of money and forked out plenty for immigration attorneys, fees etc. They continue to fork out...

[QUOTE=christmasoompa;6871218]It's NOT 'unneccessary' suffering - they had a choice and simply could have stayed in the UK or gone elsewhere! I find it ridiculous that you are stating that those on...

Re: Support E2 reform

Again, having a temporary working visa with time limits is not the same as investing in a business. It can't be compared to E2 because E2 can be renewed indefinitely, provided visa conditions are...

Re: Support E2 reform

Have you any compassion at all for those who invested on E2 and now cannot sell their businesses and return home due to the economic situation? Has everything in your life ended exactly as you...

Re: Support E2 reform

Doing a gap year is hardly comparable to investing in a business and creating jobs for citizens, is?

Re: Support E2 reform

Sue,

Thank you for your civil response.

My question is, what about those who come on E2 to see what life here is like, and decide they'd like to stay? They have no options open to them and...

Re: Support E2 reform

Ray, I KNOW that! I'm trying to show how so many are lured into the trap!

Also, I get MY information from 5 years of LIVING the E2 life and interacting with others in the same boat.

Re: Support E2 reform

If fighting for good people to be treated fairly has turned people on this forum against me, so be it. I couldn't care less what you think because you are ignorant and selfish. The fact that you...

Re: Support E2 reform

Good grief, Bob! How is it possible for an immigrant to be more reciprocal of his host country's benevolence than to invest money and create employment?

The fact that we cannot vote is completely...
