Re: Robinsons is giving me headaches

I never said it was their fault, I just said I was fed up of waiting and that I do not have any kind of appropriate customer service from their side of things. Big difference.

Re: Robinsons is giving me headaches

We booked groupage since we just did not have enough to fill a whole container, not to save money. You still expect things to be done in the timeframe given.

Re: Robinsons is giving me headaches

They are meant to contact us on the 16th or 17th April for a more accurate timeline. Lucky enough we had stuff here and we haven't fully installed ourselves anywhere. We are currently shopping for a...

Red face Robinsons is giving me headaches

As much as the service on the UK side of thing was great, the company back here in Canada is an absolute pain so far. And customer service is not even a thing they know about I believe.

We shipped...

Re: CIC sent PR card to wrong address

Indeed, but not cool. I was planning to go to the USA with him shortly. Now I need to change plans and it won't be until end of August at the latest. Real bummer.

Re: Which bank to choose

Easy to say when you have the deposit. Which we currently do not have. We are inquiring, but still would be curious to see with which banks people had success.

Re: Which bank to choose

I'm curious to see where you'll have success on a credit card straight away since my partner just can't get one. He presented his equifax british ratings which are excellent still he would need to...

Re: I want to be on the plane too......

Renting out. We were meant to get a house on arrival but postponed. I am Canadian, which helps a bit for credit I suppose. We do not have children, so it is easier to rent a flat or property. We sat...

Re: I want to be on the plane too......

So were we. But we rented our property anyway. We went to Halifax, talked to the mortgage advisors which agreed to extend the mortgage to 39 years (even if it goes in retirement, they consider the...

Re: No Canada

Re: Do I stay or do I go?

The credit crunch made the sale of our house impossible unless we take a 20% hit on the price it was purchased for in 2006. Fiance had quite a lot of debt. Basically, we needed to take half our...

Interesting. We actually booked with them due to a lot of very good reviews. They are coming to pick up our stuff on Thursday. They've been top with everything so far. Will keep you posted.

Re: Remote workers, a question for you

Well my fiance's agreement is that he needs to be logged at 7am EST. Which is far from being bad. He intended to start at 6am EST. Knowing him, he'll work until 6pm until I get back home. And bank in...

Remote workers, a question for you

Hiya

As I already said before, my partner will be working remotely for his company based in the UK. After the meeting with his boss today, two questions came up and though I would ask you here.

Re: Grocery bargains

Couldn't agree more. Some fishermen will sell you stuff out of their boats if you go see them. Even some good fishes or seafood are considered "rubbish" as they won't be sold in supermarkets, but...
