Does this mean you never have to get a label in your passport if on a 457 visa? or do you have to get it upon arrival in Australia? If so we will arrive in Brisbane before flying to Rockhampton so...

The medicals are more involved for the PR visa but can you use the xrays done for the 457? I thought they were valid for a year?:huh:

Been waiting in excess of 4 months!
Complete hash up and we used a reputable agent.
Has now resulted in us having to re apply and pay again!

Yeah also got a child which somehow makes the stress worse cos you are concerned about their well being!

We are waitng for our 457 to be granted and not a word has been said about it being on hold. It is being processed as far as we know............:confused:

I think it depends on what visa you have applied for. Ours is a 457 visa so the meds took a week to show as finalised. What visa have you applied for? Maybe someone on the same visa can shed some...

Thanks. I'm sure yours will come through soon. We are on a 457 visa so I think the time lines are quicker as it was only xrays and not full meds and bloods etc

Our meds are showing as finalised - 24/03/09. 7 days after they were recieved by HOC and including a weekend.:eek:

Meds finalised today!!! :eek: 7 days from time they were delivered to HOC including a weekend. C'mon visa!

I think the date on the application was in March sometime but we need to be there beginning of April to start work. News from our agent is we got a CO on 16/03:D. Still waiting on news of our...

If someone offers you a job you can go on a 457 Long Stay Business visa, Its temporary but you can sort out PR once there but if you are made redundant you have 28 days to find a new sponsor or leave...
