Re: In To-day's Newspapers

I have just read the last few posts. I think you are both wrong and both right about some things. I rarely go to Baga beach anymore as it is now too busy for my taste but all these visitors have a...

Re: Hi staying in Goa 5 1/2 months

I think some people do watch British tv but I would not know how they do it. Probably online. One friend has her daughter download from catchup tv, copy to disc then send to Goa by post, broadband is...

Re: GOSSIP AND CHIT CHAT

Just recharged my TATA Sky account from the UK as usually I struggle to do it online in Goa and I pay it annually but reduce my package to the minimum while the apartment is empty (that can be done...

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

The whole article reads a bit strange to me but it would seem that this person wants the law changed so that under no circumstances can a foreigner even if a resident buy property and he is making...

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

I was more impressed by how Cyclone Hudhud was dealt with, the huge numbers of people evacuated and the relatively small loss of life than the announcement of Nobel prizes awarded.

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

I do care about India and it's people and it is good that two of them have been awarded Nobel Peace prises but I don't see the need to eulogize about it on this site.

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

That's my point, what we have has grown out of hundreds of years of trial and error, how can you rely on anyone to frame a good bill of rights when all the people who would be involved have vested...

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

You are not taking into account the judicial system and you may be right in theory about Parliament being able to pass laws we do not agree with but in practice something as controversial as your...

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

Not sure that a written constitution would be any better, who would write it and if, like with many laws passed by Parliament parts of it had unintended consequences would it be any easier to change...

Re: Visa help.

When I have completed my application I always go to print and then save it using Microsoft XP document writer to a file on my lap top so I do not have to rely on getting back into the VFS system to...

Re: Visa help.

I have not applied yet this year but if I remember correctly 92.20 is what I paid per visa last year. I have always paid on line and only once had a problem when they claimed that two (out of 7) of...

Re: In To-day's Newspapers

He can talk the talk but can he walk the walk. Politicians the world over make promises they don't or can't keep. Why should Modi be any different. I am not trying to put him down but India is such a...

Re: GOSSIP AND CHIT CHAT

Re: GOSSIP AND CHIT CHAT

My husband hates to pay for parking and will park for free if possible but at 10 rupees for 4 hours you would probably use more than 10 rupees worth of petrol driving around to find a free space. A...
