Re: Gavin & Stacey on tonight BBC America

Love this show - we actually discovered it on a BA flight, and then watched it in the UK. Really pleased it's on here, as we cannot believe how rubbish the TV is! We thought US TV would be full of...

Re: Moving to Houston from the UK

My two cats stayed in a Katy cattery for a few weeks while we were moving, and it was a totally different setup to UK catteries - they had a 'communal area' like a big living room with chairs and...

Re: Kids hate school - help

In what way exactly am I 'dumping on my kids', dbj1000? I was simply asking if the school system that they have both been complaining about to me is as bad as they say it is, and if there is an...

Re: Kids hate school - help

Think you've hit the nail on the head there - we did indeed live in a compound and go to a private school, so lived in a bit of a bubble. Going to American public school is much more of a culture...

That's a really nice reply to someone's first post, maybe one of the reasons I am not happy in your lovely  country. ...

Kids hate school - help

Sorry that my first post is to moan - but, hey, I'm British! and living in Katy Texas for 3 weeks, which is 3 weeks too long.

We moved here from the Middle East, so the family is used to being...
