I've been searching for answers elsewhere too and according to this document, I can stay up to 12 months as long as it's not more than 6 months at a time and within the visa's valid...

As well what Joely said, also avoid deoderant and any toiletries that have perfume in them. It is quite easy to just not get bitten if you do it right. And use deet of course

It's funny, I went travelling in India for 6 months and liked the food but the thing I missed more about the UK than anything else was the Indian food.
