No, but you're a contender for using "segue".

Someday I'll learn how to do that video embed thing - anyway, no video for this, just the music and it's not even close to the best track... The new album, Channel Orange, is even better but you have to pay proper money for that.

when you want to post a youtube thing just copy it and then click on the icon that looks like a movie reel at the top of your reply page and paste it in the box that appears
like this... xx

Thanks Patsy and thanks OJ for the PM on the same subject. Gives me an excuse to practice with another one

Not as immediate as Strawberry Swing (even if that pretty melody has lyrics about evacuating the planet) but surely the most adventurous single you are likely to hear this year.

Now back to that young lady in Abu Dhabi..Perhaps she might include Novacane in her act?? (the song, not the anaesthetic....now that one does have a cracking video although very NSFW)

Contender? Nailed-on champion I'd say having just so smoothly executed a double back-flip super-segue with a 4.0 degree of difficulty landing perfectly back where we started....

Aside from the Jebel Ali Club in Dubai, I can't think of a single bar or restaurant that serves alcohol or plays live music that isn't in a hotel.

The Irish Village, Carters

The Tennis Ground is classified as a hotel (it has rooms in it), and the Irish Village is classified as part of that.

Left Bank, Karma Cafe, Meat Co, Rivington Grill et al in Souk Al Bahar, and Belgian Beer Cafe, Traders, Jam Base et al in Souk Madinate. Also Fibbers and Stables. None of those are in hotels, all serve drink and play music.

I believe those in the Souks are 'associated' with close by hotels and that's how they manage get round this.

There's an increasing number of places serving alcohol outside of hotels. In Abu Dhabi you've got Stars & Bars on Yas (which I'm guessing is where the OP will be working), Ornina at Al Raha Beach, the places at the Marina next to Le Meridien, Jones the Grocer.

I don't know how this works, but long may it continue.

Which Jones the grocer? The one in Khalidiya where MBZ goes? The one in Dubai does not serve alcohol and the only non-hotel-connected places that do are legacies of a bygone era like Fibber's. I believe the restaurants in Dubai Marina were promised they would get a licence when the first stretch opened in 2006 but it never happened which is why so many of the original places folded or pulled out.

Definitely both Jones the Grocers on the island - I'm not sure whether the one by Al Raha Gdns serves it also.
