Engineer faces same judge twice in 43 days for traffic offences
An engineer was jailed and fined, on Tuesday, for driving a car under the influence of liquor, just 43 days after having been fined Dh15,000 for riding his motorcycle drunk and using a licence that didn't allow him to ride a motorcycle.
The same judge sentenced the suspect, the 32-year-old Australian engineer, between May 16 and June 29.
On Tuesday, Dubai Traffic Court of First Instance's Presiding Judge Dr Ahmad Hassan Al Mutawa jailed the engineer for two months and fined him Dh21,000 for driving a car under the influence of liquor.
The convict's driving licence was revoked for one year.
Although the accused sought leniency when he pleaded guilty for drink-driving his motorcycle in the May case, but he got involved in a new drunken-driving case in June. Prosecution records showed that he drove recklessly and hit a signpost in Al Bida'a area while he drove a taxi under the influence of alcohol.

Have absolutely no sympathy for him or anyone who drives under the influence, here or anywhere else in the world.
why oh why do people D & D here though, taxis are as cheap as chips, you know its 0 tolerance, you know the consequence.
