You have been awfully lucky though BC!
I hardly ever win anything, despite entering quite a few competitions.

Re: what have you won?
I won a pogo stick jumping competition at Butlins, Skegness in 1977 and was very proud of my badge and shiny t-shirt.
A couple of years ago won a couple of grand on the lottery - that made my heart stop when the numbers came up!!
Oh, won a scout/girl guide endurance thing once! Dropped the shield and broke it in half when I was collecting it at the awards ceremony.
And my best ever (yeah right) was winning a phone in competition on the radio in the 1980's and my prize - and yes, i did win - was one ticket to go and see Revolution. So I took a friend, paid for her ticket, and the movie was dire!!!!

I’ve won lots of academic stuff but I’m no good when it comes to relying on luck (though I did win a nice bottle of wine once ).

First prize in a raffle at the St. Andrew's Ball in Baku a few years ago . A trip for two to the Maldives, business class flights, 10 days in boutique hotel, full board etc. etc.
One very happy English man surrounded by several hundred unhappy Jocks - I guess that used up my quota of luck
