OK.............
Being able to work in a non-ageist environment - nobody here has ever cared how old I am - they just want my experience to work for (and make money for) them............ we understand each other, and that's fine by me........
Being respected for simply having that experience in the first place......
Not having to give half of what I earn back to the government to pay for inefficient services that I don't need or use anyway......
Associating with a myriad of people from different colours, cultures, races, religions, etc, in a way that you simply can't at home.........
Being able to shop after 6pm (I find it hard to believe how many High Street retailers back home still work a 9-to-5 day, more or less - no wonder they all go bust)...............

This. If I ever was ever put in charge of a high street retailer, I would drastically change their opening times. No more opening up at 9am. If it was a store like HMV, it might open at midday if it's an area with a lot of office workers. Otherwise the branches wouldn't open till 3pm at the earliest, and would stay open till 11pm.
