The fact is that WHUFC or Tevez had absolutely nothing to do with Sheff Utds result that season....they got relegated cos the were dogshit !!

What a few more points dogshit than you?

Look you break the rules you deserve punishment, you broke them so deal with it... I find it hard to belive you think you are in the right! The big clubs and I use you lot loosely in that phrase, get away with murder and always have and always will...

Think Swindon in the early 90s they got relegated two divisions, one on appeal...

Not sure why Bangleman has bothered to post a list of Sheffield Utd's defeats (plus their 3-0 thrashing of West Ham) when the issue is really about how West Ham performed with Tevez in their starting eleven. Are there any stats showing West Ham's results with and without Tevez for comparison purposes or did he play in every game. Just curious as I don't know the answer.

I dont disagree we were in the wrong the problem was that there was no precedent for this type of thing before and the FA hadnt dealt with third party ownership or whatever it was called before

If we had been given a 3,6,9 point reduction in the January then at least we would have known what we were up against, but the FA took so long to decide, it would have made a mockery of the remainder of the season, so they took the fine / penalty option, because at that time we were 10 points or more adrift from the other teams

The fact we have settled out of court I beleive is more to do with the fact that the present owners wanted to out an end to it, as it is impacting on their ability to sell the club, as no buyer would buy not knowing what possible damages Sheff Utd would be awarded.

All it has done now is open up a hornets nest of litigation that could never end

I see now that Leeds are possibly going to sue us as they lost parachute payments because Sheff Utd were relegated, and Sheff Utd players are still considering suing us for loss of earnings, clearly forgetting they were the very players that performed so badly they relegated their team and lost their own earnings

Why dont 25,000 West Ham season ticket holders, myself included, sue West Ham as we had to pay more for our tickets as a result of staying up

Why dont Sheff Utd fans sue us for stress or increased travelling costs to away games in the Championship

Why dont Sheff Utd sue the FA for their referee / linesman giving us a goal v Blackburn at the end of the season which clearly wasnt over the line ?

Its a total shambles...

Ok,

You should have been relegated with a points deduction but you weren't - so lucky you, but that should be the end of it,

anyone who sues you is a wanker, this is not how football should operate, they should sue the FA if anyone as they made the decision.

Here you Lionheart......dont need to say any more really...

* Four of West Ham’s seven wins at the end of the 2006-07 season were by a one-goal margin. Of those, Bobby Zamora scored the winning goal in three, while Carlos Tevez grabbed the decider in just one vs Man Utd

* The Daily Telegraph’s football correspondent Henry Winter was asked by the tribunal to discuss Tevez’s impact and he made the point that West Ham wouldn’t have scored in that game were it not for Tevez. However, if the game finished goalless, West Ham would still have finished 16th.

* Sheffield United played West Ham during West Ham’s run of seven wins from nine games and despite Carlos Tevez playing every second of the game, the Blades still won the match 3-0. Should West Ham be given these three points back?

* With nine games remaining in the season, Sheffield United led West Ham by eleven points, despite the fact Carlos Tevez was at the club for 26 of the 29 games played, over which period the Blades picked up fourteen more points than West Ham.

* The fact Sheffield United blew an eleven point lead over the final nine games, a period that even included a 3-0 victory over the Hammers, must surely be blamed on themselves.

And revealingly:

West Ham without Tevez:
P12 W4 D3 L5 Points per game: 1.25

West Ham with Tevez:
P26 W8 D2 L16 Points per game: 1

aye of course, they should have been relegated but they weren't, not their fault - it's the FA who made the mistake.
