So your lot beat Chelsea Reserves, no great shakes. The Cobblers beating Liverpool Reserves at Anfield was by far the better result. Looking forward to 3rd October when we play you at Eastlands.

So it should be a comfortable win for the Toon thenMind you, by then we should have these players available for selection, none of whom played last night; Hart, Boateng, Richards, Toure(K), Kompany, Bridge, Lescott, De Jong, Toure(Y), Barry, SWP, Adebayor and Tevez...have I missed anyone?

And if you checked it was Newcastle reserves as well, we made 10 changes on the night, Shane Ferguson? Ever heard of him? No me neither, a young northern irish right back and a load of players who don't get much of a look in.

However you look at it its a great result. Who'd ahve thoguht e'd have beaten chelsea, villa and everton by now? I'm over the moon.

It's a long season mind.

I'd pay good money to watch anyone beat the skunks, I partied like a child when they were relegated but there's something horrible about a club like city who spent years bleating about MUFC suddenly becoming a stick on version of them - I could never bring myself to wish for a barcode victory but I'd be happy enough with a last mine equaliser tbh...... modern football is shit.
