There are a few of us on here who have had the same shock and shitty experience of kids not just following on as part of the plan.
bit of a downer and I apologize but as a 40 year old with a 3 year old my advice is have kids in your 20's if you can

dont count on that mate, we did and it took an extra 10 years or so, its an increasing problem so just beware. Hope to hell you never experience it but I would caution the assumption these days.

I know I will. Just not yet.
Sorry to hear pal, I've got friends going into their third attempt with the docs before having to try full whack IVF (I think, I don't ask too many questions just keep my fingers crossed for them).
That's as maybe buddy, I'm sure we've all discussed this before. I'm sure it'll be awesome when it happens but it isn't for me right now. I'm not ready and I know the mrs isn't...guess we'll take our chances!

It really is a shit thing to have to do, I now know a load about human reproduction and getting pregnant is not easy under normal circumstances.
The one thing that shocked me is that a woman is given her full quota of eggs when in her mothers womb, no more are created. So by 20 the eggs are getting on. By 40 they are generally overcooked and odds are low of the swimmers hitting the motherload.

I know more and more people going through this, maybe because it's less of a taboo subject now.

And lets not forget that the vast majority of men in the west today have a fertility level of about 25% of that of their grandfathers

approaching 38 and no ankle biters and to be fair not that bothered. A wife approaching 40 who wants them - This is why we have cats but if it happens it happens though as has been stated above im sure my fertility is no where as good as it should be....

Here's a brand new one :
A multimillion dollar IT company's owner has gone missing with hundreds of thousands of dollars. Cheques have bounced, office is closed etc
And btw, these guys have been here for over 10 years. We have had a lot of transactions with them but it was always one way and we only deal in cash so am safe.
I just feel sorry for the employees. What did the poor buggers do to deserve this? I can only imagine what the low paid staff are going through right now
What makes a man want to take someone's else's hard earned money and then think he can live off it?

Why is that when men dye their hair to look younger they invariably chose that particularly fake looking shade which I assume is called dead fox?
It looks ridiculous and only serves to make them look desperate and usually older.

I'm older, and possibly desperate too but no way I'd start that caper. I can probably scare most women even when the lights are low but I'd rather shave it all off than colour what's left of it.

Totally agree. There was a guy in my husbands office who was in his sixties, who always reminded me of Davey Crocket, he had the dead racoon look going on.

I have no doubt that you're right.
