TV watch lists
What's on everyone's watch list for during Ramadan then?
I've saved Mad Men series 5 and been recommended House of Lies, but not watched any of it yet. Had Southland lined up but wasn't too impressed by the first episode.
Any other recommendations?

House of Lies...watched the first 3 episodes, it's ok but not enough to keep me going

I thought Veep was good, but it's just an Americanised and slightly watered down version of the far superior The Think of It.

I'm mid-series 2 of Californication, like it but it is a bit samey - gets drunk, shags a random, daughter says something profound, good dad for a day, and repeat.

I loved Weeds, although it went totally over the top after a few seasons, there was just something about it that made it worth watching.
There's another series I watched, can't remember the name now, about a group of people that solve situations in Washington, one of the story lines was a kind of Monica Lewinski type thing. The head of the group is a woman who is a close friend of the President...it's really too stupid for words, the storylines are shite, but the way it's done still made me watch it
right, it's called Scandal...

Breaking Bad
Longmire (Cheesy cop show set in the boonies)
Saving Hope (Cheesy hospital drama that's quite good, focus on coma patient)
The Hollow Crown (Richard II, Henry IV Pt1-2, Henry V Shakespeare)
Perception
Line of Duty (cop drama with a casual focus on coruption)
Wallander
Case Sensitive (2 part series)
Dallas (Annoyingly amusing this, as cheesy as the original)
Rookie Blue
Newsroom (It's basically West Wing, re-imagined as a newsroom, with the anchor instead of a president and white house, best thing on tele at the mo)
Vera (great little cop drama)
Scott and Bailey (Good, northern cop drama)

Watched We Were Soldiers last night, awesome film.
Going to stick to films - got a hard drive full of stuff I've not seen or not seen in ages (Leon is prime hangover watch tomorrow morning)

That reminds me: must cancel my OSN subscription. What's the best site for downloading stuff actually worth watching?

I enjoyed the British cop series "Luther" on our last Emirates flight.

Speaking of which, I really enjoyed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (at least the 1/2 I managed to catch) on Etihad recently: definitely worth watching. Basically a UK remake of California Suite, and absolutely excellent. Judie Dench, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson (you'll know his face), Maggie Smith, Ronald Pickup, Celia Imrie et al. Classic.
