torn between two lovers...
...so, can you ever be 100% "happily married"...but have a no strings attached affair with someone whom you love completely and utterly too...? ie, an affair with someone where neither of you want to leave the spouse for, but you're both totally obsessed with each other...

Would he/she simply be furious, feel betrayed and demand a divorce, etc? Or would it totally destroy him/her psychologically and emotionally, leaving him/her with a sense of bewildered hopelessness, no sense of life ever being worth living again, perhaps even suicidal............? (I'm not kidding)
If the person having the affair would not wish to cause that sort of reaction, it might be better to quit while he/she is ahead, and put the fling down to a happy if somewhat truncated memory..............
