well things aren't made like they used to be- when you look at the best lingerie brands ie La Perla their fit is awful and unless you are a b cup or below it won't look great! Beautiful fabrics etc and with most lingerie being made in the far east I don't think there will ever be a true luxury product anymore- I mean apart from the absolute bespoke- Rigby and Pellar other than that I don't actually think there is a single luxury lingerie brand that offers excellent fit, excellent design and excellent fabrics. Corsetry you can still find but proper structured lingerie I can't think of one that offers everything and don't think there ever has been- not really. Always a compromise.

Seriously? That's ridiculous. Half the population wears it everyday and yet it is not good enough? I guess it doesn't help if people aren't willing to spend decent money on it, but I am amazed that you say the option that isn't there for those willing to pay for it. That's just sad and wrong.

Yep if someone asked me where to go to get some bespoke underwear- the only place I know of is Rigby and Pellar which whilst offers amazing fit is not the most stunningly beautiful lingerie- its very traditional lingerie- nice embroidery or lace but no new shapes etc.All the funky desigenr end offer dodgy fit.

I think that is very sad indeed.

if only rigby and peller would move here...i love their stuff...though i still find the bra fitting a bit embarrassing and amazing at the same time...

Seriously, thongs or boxer type. Either way, looking at the bum cheeks is always good. But then again, any decent smart lingerie will do. Mrs Bantam does look good a pair of thongs though.

More or less, although I've never actually withheld my services because of unmatched undies. I'll consider it next time, though (for several milliseconds).

White and black (not together) are best, but just simple. Flowery-patterned bras--why? Subtle lace on the bottom bits are nice.

What does get me is very expensive (or just nice) undies, but with the washing instructions tag still sown on: someone (KittyKat perhaps) has gone to huge lengths to get the aesthetics right only for it all to be shattered by a little rectangle of white polyester. It would be like leaving the whacking great import sticker on the windscreen of your BMW 7 Series, as if anyone would be stupid enough to do that

I think there're ones that serve a purpose and others that you can actually like. I've hated strings for as long as I've been aware of them, but thongs do serve a purpose, but aren't what I'd class as the nicest or most attractive underwear on the planet...
