there's a curry house at the top floor of the rydes plaza, they do bloody good curries and I tell you, not only the best pint of tiger I've had in Dubai, but simply the best pint of lager fullstop.

I can vouch for that place. I think I got bad guts from it, but it was bloody lovely, and not too pricey.

Is Ravi's still around, or have they completely bulldozed Satwa?

You can get bottles of Spitfire here in AD. Not quite the same but it's a start....
Guess what I found in my fridge when I got home....bottles of London Pride!!! (Not the same as out of the barrel but beggars can't be choosers.) From Spinneys booze shop apparently.
