Is there real money in running quiz nights?
I follow a particular Dubai media "name" on Twitter, and he's constantly hammering away with plugs for his quiz night. Obviously he's fully entitled to do that, but the sheer extent of the promotion makes me wonder if there's real money in it and he's trying to build it up to allow him a career change.
Can Dubai quiz nights make enough money to support a family as an independent business? Anyone know?

My mate runs one at a popular watering hole. He gets 500 dibbles a night.

Allegedly of course.
