You'd think I'm marketing the place but I'm really not. It is seriously one of the best places I've ever stayed at.

oh get off your high horse you, lol...i stayed at the sheraton laguna just before the tsunami and it was lovely (although from what mh says, it hasn't really been upgraded since then), but this time i want to stay somewhere new...

i know, im only kidding, that phi phi island hotel looks pretty good. Dunno about kids though.

I stayed in the following:

Dusit Laguna Phuket
Sheraton Laguna Phuket
Holiday In, Patong Beach
Phi Phi Island Village Hotel

All with our 2 year old. They all really cater for kids

We love Thailand and will be going back to Phuket next year at the same time

I adore Thailand, in fact fûcking love the place but....we went to Sri Lanka over xmas and it was fantastic,

and especially for your Scottishness, it was also cheap as chips.
