That's not what is happening here (private sector)............. we are being told Saturday is the holiday (our branches are usually open) but Sun to Thur is a normal full working week. :confused:

It's not quite as simple as that. The company must first agree to allow employers the Sunday off. Not sure if too many will do so.

Unfortunately, as most of our biggest corporate clients are working on Sunday, yours truly will have to make atleast a token appearance in the office. Grrh:(

The religious element never changed. Always Sunday 6pm until Monday 7pm. Except that Sheik Mo will declare an International Event at the F1 arena so booze & loud music are allowed.

It's Abu Dhabi - have they ever declared an 'international zone' during a religious holiday there?

I'm not sure the Khalifas will be as accomodating as Sheikh Mo.

On the other hand, can you imagine the hassle of telling thousands of people there is no beer?

bernie doesnt give a flying **** about the concerts. the paddock club is a different story however. although he probably wont be in AD this year as hes busy avoiding jail again

Alright, I'll put it another way.

I can't see any form of holiday stopping there being booze at the F1 at any point.
